About Me

Scott Page

My passion and aptitude for data driven decision making and automation made Analytics Wheelhouse a natural next step in my career. Through Analytics Wheelhouse my skill set can benefit organizations large and small, augmenting existing teams with my perspective, and servicing smaller organizations with targeted high impact projects.

I got my start using data in high school while attending a public boarding school for gifted children - IMSA. I was a core contributor to the robotics club, and became interested in the topic of automated trading strategies (a life long pursuit). Graduating and starting my computer engineering bachelors at UIUC (deans list several semesters), I focused my electives on Machine Learning(ML) and High Performance Computing (HPC).

During my formative years in industry working at startups, I learned the importance of rapid prototyping and out of the box thinking. The startup I initially joined pivoted 3x, and was acquired in part due to the personalization layer I had built. My skills expanded from analytics on novel personality quiz datasets, to survey design, email targeting, personalized coupon feeds, web, mobile, ecommerce, brick and mortar, payments, user retention, contact center and fraud prevention. During the 2 years with the acquiring company working to fight fraud in the second hand gift card market, I picked up my Masters in Predictive Analytics with a Computation Emphasis via night classes. This gave me the theoretical background I had been missing, and allowed me to apply what I was learning in industry immediately ensuring I learned it well.

Eventually it was time to leave Chicago, and focus on my investments in crypto that began in 2016. Settling in the Denver area, and continuing to sharpen the saw through programmatic trading, the ability to work on your own projects is both a blessing and a curse.

In the interest of finding new acquaintances, experiences and datasets I started Analytics Wheelhouse. This has led me to work on IoT sensor projects, pollution tracking, server failure modeling, pharmacy analytics, and churn prediction.

I'm excited for the future of Analytics Wheelhouse, if you have a project and would like to be part of my journey please reach out on the contact page. For more info about me please see my LinkedIn.
