Project Planning

Welcome to Analytics Wheelhouse, LLC! We are a leading consulting firm focused on helping organizations unlock the full potential of their data through the power of analytics, data science, and machine learning.

When working with a client, we follow a carefully-defined process that ensures clear communication, efficient execution, and successful outcomes. Here is an overview of the process that we follow:

  1. Proposal and SOW Documentation: Our team will work closely with you to understand your needs and objectives, and develop a proposal that outlines the scope of our work and the expected outcomes. We will work with you to develop detailed documentation that outlines the specific steps that we will take to achieve your goals. This documentation may include data sources, algorithms, and other technical details, as well as any relevant business rules and constraints. This proposal will include a detailed plan of action, timelines, and budgets, as well as any relevant assumptions and constraints.

    1. A mutual NDA is typically entered prior to getting into specifics assuming availability and timing made sense.

    2. Frequently it is assistive to have data samples available during these conversations to help us understand what resources are available for modeling.

  2. Execution: Once the SOW is accepted our team will then work closely with you to execute the plan outlined in the proposal and documentation.

    1. Orientation: This typically involves working with your databases, domain experts, and data engineers to better understand what is where and why you think it might be important to the solution.

    2. Iteration: Once we fully understand the goal and know where the most important datasets are, our efforts can progress largely independently. We will continue to ask questions via email, chat, and/or scheduled calls as things come up (database's tend to be huge and have hidden skeletons that we discover after deep work). We can establish regular check-ins to keep you informed of our progress, and make any necessary adjustments along the way.

    3. Delivery: Depending on the SOW, delivery may provide a partial or complete solution. After getting deep into a problem it may become apparent that there are obvious and valuable ways to extend or expand the project. These will be discussed and agreed upon with you for future iteration. Shortcomings should also be identified and discussed for future iteration.

  3. Acceptance: Once our work is complete, we will conduct a thorough acceptance process to ensure that your objectives have been met and that the results meet your expectations. This may involve testing, validation, and other quality assurance.
